About Essence
ESSENCE was established in 2023. Our Organization empowers communities in Eastern Shan State by advancing education, healthcare, environmental care, and youth leadership through collaboration and inclusion.
Through a collaborative approach, we unite local communities, businesses, and global partners to advance sustainable development, with no regard to ethnic, political, or religious boundaries.

Community leadership
Began the Community Partnership program through Community Leadership Development Training (CLDT) for youth.

Education
Launched summer school education programs in remote areas of Kyaing Tong Township and Tachileik Township.
SEAL
Saen-In Empowering Aspiring Leaders (SEAL) Workshop Initiate and continue every year.
Healthcare
Start working with Loi Kaw Wan (LKW) Hospital and Medical Center in the border area of Eastern Shan State and Thailand.

Education
Established four long-term school foundations in remote areas of Kyaing Tong Township.
Training
Conducted Training of Trainers (TOT) and English-speaking classes for hospital staff.
Healthcare
Began sending backpack teams to remote areas of Kyaing Tong and Tachileik for mobile healthcare services.
Healthcare
Start running the patient house for IDPs near Mae Fah Luang district hospital.

Community education
Ran summer school programs teaching Shan literature and culture, reaching 622 students.
School construction
Start building a community center for education, health services and social gatherings in a remote area of Tachileik Township.
Vocational training
Provided tailoring and motorcycle repair training, with trainees continuing their work as tailors and in motorcycle repair workshops.
Environmental care
Included tree planting and lessons on how trees help protect the environment.
- 2026
Start office and build more team members in Chiang Mai and launch social media platforms, websites to reach out more people.
Leadership and teacher development
Continued Community Leadership Development training and teacher training programs.
Environmental care
Arranged environmental awareness training and workshops on environmental degradation, rivers, climate change, and flooding.
Partner collaboration
Collaborated with partner organizations to arrange Basic Psycho Education programs and healthcare worker training.
Scholarships
Supported two students to continue university studies in Thailand.

We improve healthcare access by deploying mobile units, providing telemedicine (online clinic), increasing healthcare worker presence, and strengthening systems with an emphasis on prevention.
